About Alexis

Pronouns: they/them

Alexis Diaz in a natural setting with rainbows showing in the sunshine.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker with more than a decade of experience in a variety of settings; from clinics, to schools, to nonprofits. I offer counseling, consultation, and teaching with a focus on queer and trans people of color as well as those working towards social & environmental justice. My deepest desire is for everyone to find their authentic selves and bring their unique gifts to our world.

I'm also a gender fluid child of the 80's, second gen Puerto Rican, queer, and from Jersey (as they say). I have that complicated multiracial identity that comes from a Caribbean diaspora with light skin, able-bodied, and masculine privilege, too. I'm from a middle-class family, big in people, opinions, personalities, and stories. I’ve called Queens home for more than 10 years.
